Hi, got something odd again: I have put mission no. 4, Mast –height attack on Japanese Shipping, Gasmata from DFLion's Assault on New Guinea' campaign in Missions/Single/RA/Hudson. And with all the added extra's in BAT and Random Skies, I thought this could be an interesting mission. When published there wasn't a Lockheed Hudson in the game and we didn't have JCat's Zero's so I changed this with Notepad (CtrC/CtrV). The mission didn't play as I hadn't changed the the weapon load-out.To change this I tried to open the mission in FMB. That didn't worked.Ok, than changed it in the mission file with Notepad and the mission could be flown, But I still couldn't be open in the FMB. To my suprise - and relieve - it could be opened in SAS - Modact 5.3. Does anybody knows what causing this?

Thanks for reading

PS Mission was made for IL-2 1946 - 4.09b1m, I'm on BAT 3.1 Op. Sealion

are you sure the map you want to use is part of the all.ini?

Hi, @ Epervier, I'll asume you mean I have to include a logfile, but 'continue to ignore our requests' seems a bit of an overkill to make a point. Sometimes one wants to ask 'I have this experience, is there somebody expierencing the same?'. But sorry for breaking the rules.  :-[

@ vampire pilot, everything works in the mission, it can be flown, saved just not opened in the BAT FMB. So I'm puzzled.  o_O

how do you "save" if you cannot open it in FMB?
You actually can fly QMB missions on maps which are not in the all.ini if the files are present but FMB won't open the mission in such a case. so check the all.ini for the entry. don't just assume.

Ok, 'saved' was a wrong expression and to be clear I'm talking about a single mission, not QMB. In (BAT) MAPMODS is a folder 'palau' with Load and Online_load.ini inside, this is the same in (SAS) MAPMODS. Only in (BAT) FMB there is Palau - 1C and Palau(redko) while in (SAS) FMB there's Palau and Palau Online. It could be something with with the all.ini as (default) single mission UN/F4F-3/S01 doesn't open in the FMB as well.

@VP both would be nice.

This might come as a complete surprise, because it has never been asked before and no one could know, nevertheless...

Would you please be so kind as to actually check with a text editor if the MAP line which is referenced in the .mis file is actually entered in your all.ini?
I can't make this any more clearer.

Because this is what it sounds like to me, I've seen it before that QMB missions fly on maps which are not in the all.ini.

Good morning, I did what vampire_pilot asked and found the following:

First 2 lines from Assault_NewGuinea_04:
[MAIN]
  MAP Palau/Online_load.ini

In #WAW3/MAPMODS/Maps/palau is: load.ini & Online_load.ini, with only these 'Palau' lines in all.ini:
Palau                 Palau/load.ini
Palau(redko)               redko_palau/load.ini

So, the line 'PalauOnline     Palau/Online_load.ini' is missing and the mission can't be opened in the FMB. Adding this line from #SAS/MAPMODS/all.ini to #WAW3/MAPMODS/all.ini solves the problem.

Vampire_pilot many thanks for your clear mind, you showed me the right pad in finding the cause problem. Sorry I didn't understand it from your first answer.
And just asking, would this omission have become clear from the logfile? As I understand how annoying it is to be asked for help without enough info.

Yes, immediately.
That's why it's so dull to dive into endless debates instead of simply posting a log.
