So, as per the thread title. Is that correct behavior? It seems odd. This is the only plane (so far) where I've experienced this happening. The FW-190 D models go all the way to 100%.
What is it about the FW-190 A4 that only allows it to go to 88%?
I don't recall reading this in any of the (extensive) documentation with all the patches and whatnot. But then, there's quite a bit of info throughout all that stuff.
OH! I'm running VP Mod, if that matters. That seems to have NO documentation whatsoever, which really is a damn shame.

Flight model changes

Fw 190
For the whole series handling and performance have been changed.
A new model has been made, a fully rated A-4. The derated model is now simulated by using
the same engine with a limited throttle.
The A-5 and A-6 no longer have the erhöhte Notleistung. The A-5 1.65ata boost system only
works at low altitude now.
The D-9 1944 has been modelled to 1900hp version performance, the D-9 45 remains with the
2150hp MW50 injection performance.
The Ta 152 H-1 now has working GM-1 injection.

AH! Thanks for digging out that reference. I figured it was something like that.
I'm currently re-reading thru all those patch note pdf files again. There's LOTS of info in them things.
