Vampire FB.5 and SE Mistral (French skins)

The new age of the Vampires is dawning with Edlor's fantastic 3d update

Here's a first set of skins, eleven French aircraft. These where my first priority to provide a skin update for my "Mistral" campaign.

France received De Havilland produced Vampires in the early 50s.

EC 3/5 "Comtat-Venaissin", 1953


GC II/I  "Nice", late 50s


License built SNCASE Vampire FB.Mk.5
57 Escadrille de Servitude, Aeronavale, Morocco, circa 1956.


Soon SNCASE began to license produce the SE.535 "Mistral", which basically is a Vampire FB on steroids. It was equipped with the NENE B/C engine in comparison to the regular Vampire's Goblin II. The NENE had about 40% more thrust which resulted in significantly increased all round performance of the "Mistral".
