I have a Thrustmaster TFRP for pedals and I can't activate them in game. I am using VP Modpack as well as SAS Engine Mod 27 and SAS Buttons 10.5. The engine mod shows that there is a selection for "Left Brake" and "Right Brake", however when I press down my toe brakes they don't register. I took a look into my settings.ini that is located in E:\IL 2 Sturmovik 1946\Users\Refraction and I saw no selection for "Left Brake" and "Right Brake". I have gone over some older post about this, their recommendation was to get SAS Engine Mod 27 and look in said settings.ini. It would be awesome if someone could tell me a way to get them to register or come up with any solution. They work fine in BoS and the expansions, but can't get them to work in 1946.

EDIT: I have the Steam Version of 1946 and in 4.13 the toe brakes work fine

Update Engine mod to current 2.8.5w (or 2.8.6w PRE).

Take care not to install conflicting mods over Engine mod like Stab4All.

And assign TFRP's toe brakes at "HOTAS CONTROL" section's "Brakes Left Pedal" / "Brakes Right Pedal" entries.

You can tune brake strength each left or right by analog toe touch.


"AIRCRAFT CONTROLS" section is provided for purpose of digital keyboard input "On" or "Off".

There "Wheel Brakes" (stock function) / "Brakes left" / "Brakes Right" function work as 2 digit positions =100% On= or =0% Off=.
When you always use TFRP and no need for keyboard key binding for separated brakes .... make blank "Brakes left" / "Brakes Right" entries.
