Spitfire Mk.IXe 25lbs new slot
« on: August 28, 2009, 07:56:35 AM »

Hello everybody,

This is just a "I was bored" mod that came to my mind. We already have a 25lbs Spitfire in the game but with the old c wing (4x.303, 2x20mm) instead of the more potent e Wing (2x.50, 2x20mm) that better suits such a late war Spitfire variant!

This mod does not require a new buttons file as it uses an existing flight model. Just follow the installation instructions in the readme and you're good to go

Mediafire

Have fun!

This one crashes my game for some reason. Can't see any reason why.... The usual mistakes have been checked and found absent... Anybody got a clue?

At which loading % does that happen, havent heard of any problems with this mod up to now, it doesnt even need a new buttons file.

Caldrail, if the crash happens at 20% of the game loading then is a class file problem (conflict, misplaced, missing or corrupted)

It did indeed help, the Spit is on the list and flying nicely. However, one small drawback is that there's a couple of LF spitfires whose texturing is up the spout. I had trouble with those two once before. Not sure how I'm going to solve that but I'll give it a try...

This one uses the exact same cockpit as the stock Spitfire Mk.IXe, so if you have the glowing reticle mod for the stock IXe, you have it for this one as well
