opel blitz fueltrucks explode but don't burn

Does anyone else have this curious effect,when straffing a a german road convoy the open blitz fuel trucks explode like they did in cup but then turn into little white clouds on the road,in my cup install they explode and burn furiously giving off huge volumes of smoke,all the other fire and smoke effects are the same as in cup just this one is lost,I've tried various effects in jgsme but nothing seems to change it. This lost effect is also in vp modpack and I wondered if it could be a class file or engine mod thing,it's no big deal just wondered if anyone had come across it and found a solution. Kev.
