"Counter as Gateway" Group
« on: December 14, 2018, 05:38:14 AM »

Dear all,

Patch 3.008 unfortunately broke certain functionality for timers and counters.

In particular, timers will currently not re-start at 0 if you trigger them again before they elapse.
For this issue, coconut provided a stopgap replacement here: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/41555-mod-set-valueadd-value/?do=findComment&comment=705290

Further on, counters currently will not fire after being re-activated if they got triggered while being deactivated.
They did so before, which was quite useful to apply an arbitrary delay to a "gateway" put on a mission by using a counter with threshold value "1", which could be deactivated to hold back a trigger input and fire it delayed once activated again.
For this issue, please find a stopgap replacement group attached to this post.
The usage should be self explaining, you have an input and output ("IN" and "OUT") like you did with your counter, and you have two inputs "Activate" and "Deactivate" in order to activate/deactivate this replacement group.
