Old campaign and tiger flyby

I have a question about Tiger Flyby in a DBW campaign

First of all: my DBW installation (with few mods) works fine with ten dbw campaigns I am already playing. And tiger flyby works fine in each of them.

Now I installed an "old" beautiful campaign (USS Enterprise by Ccrash built in 4.08) that I never played before, and it works fine but there is only one problem; I cannot hear tiger's flyby sound for most of the planes (F4F, dauntless, etc) ... , well, if i remove tiger flyby they have their normal flyby sound and so I can use flyby too (F3) but as you know, tiger sound is so immersive ...

maybe there is an "easy" way to use the tiger's flyby of the F4F/dauntless planes already in dbw with the F4F/dauntless/etc that are in this old campaign ? maybe thay are different models so they are not "mapped" to use the F4F/dauntless tiger sound in DBW ?

Any help or suggestion woul be much appreciated

Do you have a link to download this campaign?

By the way, my #DBW modsfolder: 43 GB, 15.596 folders!  8)

I remember reading a while ago that to many planes in a mission can cause this anomaly especially if using the high quality stereo flyby's. Try using the lower fidelity wav files and or edit out a couple of squadrons from the **.mis file to test it.

The "USS Enterprise" campaign starts on my "4.10 & #DBW & UV3" but after 20 seconds the game freezes.

Then UV3 disabled (-.sfs file, - // in ". Rc" file and JSGME.exe). What is it? Now my DBW does not start at all - so all reset.

Just to test I have the USS Enterprise campaign in my age-old 4.09-UP 2.1 installed. Game started and - wonderful, the campaign runs flawlessly.

It seems that this old campaign just does not fit #DBW!

Ok, I downloaded the campaign, extracted the files to have a look. Now I don't have DBW, only HSFX7 and VPmod both in a 412 environment, so I'm unaware of the format DBW is happy with playing those mission files, but they are not in a format the same as I am used to seeing in my games. So the first thing I did was copy the campaign folder (Enterprise_Gold) to IL-2's missions folder so I could access the files in FMB.
Started my HSFX7 game, enter FMB, select Load, select Enterprise Gold and load-up mission one. I then saved the mission which should save it in the format relative to my game environment. Clicked play and had a look around. Let auto pilot do the work for takeoff and checked for flyby.
All is working fine. Again save the mission, just for safe keeping and exit the game to view the log for any errors and there were none.

Restarted the game and repeat the process but now load-up mission 2. This time I had to make a couple of changes to 2 Japanese flights that were air start but had a 0 height at way-point one and 2 so made an adjustment, saved the game, played it and again all was working fine.

This is, I believe, what you will have to do to every mis file in your DBW game for this campaign to work properly, and that's provided that my flyby mod is working in your game as you say.

My advice to you before starting this would be to load-up a mission file in FMB you know is causing the no flyby issue, and do as above and test it. If you have success then you know what you have to do if you are passionate in playing this campaign. If you have no change and the flyby is still not audible then I will see about locating the smaller wav files for flyby.

NB: When I extracted the campaign it's file structure had it ending up in a NN folder. As I don't have that folder I put it in UN.

I have to say I already tried the first 5 missions and my DBW works fine, no problem, only I miss the tiger flyby

well DaveB, if you can find the "smaller" wav files maybe I can have it all working with that beatiful sound.

Well, I tried to help. You said my mod was working in your game but it clearly isn't. No way u could fly the first five missions and have no flyby if it was, as the first two missions I looked at had only a dozen or so planes. Smaller wav files will not fix this issue for you.

Im sorry for any misunderstanding but Enlish is not my native language  :-X

what I said is that the campaign works with my DBW (in bomberkiller's  it does not), I mean no crash etc; but i do not have the DBW-tigerflyby working, so I play it with the original DBW flyby (no tiger).

I did not try your tigerflyby mod in my DBW because I do not know how I should install it in DBW, should I follow the same instuctions I used in VPmodpack ?
