A small fix for the winter version of the map.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/2jtzm11jtulmkbm/fix_Winter_Zapolar%2527e_44.zip/file

Editing the shoreline for rivers and lakes, changing the ice pattern, editing the ice texture. Replace the files in the appropriate folders.

Look really great, Mixx!  I don't have this map yet, though.  I must have overlooked it but also very busy lately and not much time for my favorite sim.  But, I'll have to do another campaign for this new winter map!  I've been waiting for it!

Something which might help mission-builders is some information about what months to use the winter map.
Can someone list the months of the year for when to use the winter map?

Hello CzechTexan, mid-october to mid-april is the  period of winter for these latitudes.

In 1941 maybe earlyer, after September, 25..

Here is a history Front Album about Zapol'arie defence, easy for using with google translator:

https://spbarchives.ru/documents/10157/2882781/%D0%9C%D1%83%D1%80%D0%BC%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9+%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%85%D0%B8%D0%B2/2972b24e-a5ec-465c-96b4-0c53f4854bc9

for example (about Safonov):

Quote
September 3, 1941 Boris Feoktistovich with six I-16 covered our troops over frontline of defense and on the radio received a reconnaissance report:
"A large group of enemyes flying to the front line, about 56 aircrafts."
Having discovered the enemy, Safonov makes a decision and gives the command to the pilots:
"Get ready for the attack, follow me."
They scored a superior altitude of 500 m above the enemy and from the side of the sun, due to cloud cover,
the Nazi planes suddenly attacked, they immediately caught fire in the air 6 fascist bombers, and soon another enemy aircraft was shot down.
The Nazis were in a panic, began to drop bombs on their troops and turned on the opposite course to their airfield. [...]
Our brave, heroic six I-16 with damages in fuselage and wings returned to her airfield.
In this battle 7 fascist vultures were shot down, of which Safonov shot down 2 aircraft.

Page 89 about Rudolf Muller, DE ace:
Quote
I don’t remember for what reasons I didn’t take part in this departure, but I directly participated in the un-equipment of Mueller’s plane. It was in advance in the air
About 12 Aerocobra planes were lifted, including Sgibnev and Bokiy. The battle began with an attack by our fighters. Germans who were no less once in a disadvantage, we tried to go out and dodge the battle, which in an attack, suppose on a collision course is not difficult to do. In this case, one Me-109G fighter, and they were,
he began to leave with a decline to the side of the group, and chased him Bending.
After giving him a turn from machine guns and guns (later Muller will say about this episode that our pilots dishonestly arrive: “I was on an emergency landing, but after they shot me ”)
and noticing the landing site (lake), Sgibnev returned to the airfield. Than he called me and said that now we’ll fly with him to U-2 to the landing site of the lined German plane.
We found the landing site from afar on the bright big a spot of orange-red in the snow near the plane. It turned out that the German pilots to indicate their landing place and show that the pilot is alive,
in place plantings sprinkled with a special coloring powder. When our U-2 taxied to Me-109, the pilot was not in it. He hastily took out his skis and tried to reach his own, but was intercepted near
the Tuloma River - it is 15 kilometers from the landing site. By this the pilot was German ace Rudolf Muller.
What about the Mueller plane, after all, it was a personal gift to him from Goering himself. Me-109G aircraft differed from like those with exceptional polishing, it was painted, like all Me-109Gs, in spotty gray with white.

This is great Mixx!! Thank you very much. First post updated.

Feel free to create your own topic if you plan to keep on working on these. It would be good to have fresh sources of all maps from the author. We could ask this topic to be deleted afterwards.
