not sure if this is the right place to make this kind of suggestion, but I feel that the flight model of the 3 f-14's are in need of revamping. For the most part I'm fine with the way they cause the plane to fly, but the slow speed performance is what bothers me to no end. Oftentimes, I find that even jets with stubby wings such as the f-104 and the mig-21 are able to outmaneuver me at speeds below 200 mph, despite the f-14s wings being much better for this kind of fighting in real life. The issues with low speed handling become especially apparent when doing carrier landings. I have seen many websites state that the average carrier approach speed for an f-14 was around 125 knots or 144 miles per hour which is way slower than what the flight model permits you to do in game. If you try going that slow while trying to land, the plane will get more and more bottom heavy, and you'll find yourself pulling back on the stick as hard as you can to fight against it. I tried trimming the elevator all the way up so I wouldn't have to pull back as much, but it still drops too much altitude. Secondly, many videos show f-14s always having their airbrakes deployed during their approach. Once again doing this is unfeasible in game since the airbrake is actually too effective and will cause you sink rapidly and most likely crash.
I'm sure that if the fm was updated to make the plane more controllable and level at speeds below 190 mph landing would be much easier, since you would have more time to line up your approach. As of now I have been landing at around 200 mph since dropping below this speed is likely to make you stall.
