tried it now a few times but I had hard times landing on carriers thanks to the weird engine managment in the FM;
this baby should be landed like an early jet and not like a prop fighter;
This plane has no specially developed Flighmodel. It basically is a twin jet aircraft under the hood. The FM uses two Jumo engines which is probably a stop gap solution, I presume? So this is basically a Me-262 that looks like a Fireball.
A mix of a prop and a jet is possible in the same aircraft. Maybe I'll look into this FM a bit, if that's okay for you, LoneWolf?
Also, the cockpit still causes issues. The current solution is simply overwriting the existing Meteor cockpit, resulting in a mess in the Meteors:
This is not the way to do this. This plane needs a dedicated cockpit class and at least its own hier.him.
As we are dealing with an American Navy plane I would propose using a completely different pit to begin with, the F7F_3 cockpit:
It would also need re-positioning though, it also is too much to the front. But it operates two engines and could be simply cloned and referred to a new hier.him
Please don't get me wrong, I'm just throwing out suggestions and impressions, trying to improve this funny looking animal
