Thank you for collecting all those French and uniquely used by French aircraft in a single thread.

Could we hope in a refined Dewoitine 520? I mean, I know there are already two (or even three, the latter with adapted Gladiator's cockpit by Dimon), but, while Ranwer's one does have arguably external shape and poor rearrangement of ki-43 cockpit (not to mention skin distortion on fuselage), Fred's one causes heavy FPS drop inside cockpit, requiring as well a fix made by Spitwulf to make gunsight usable; last but not least, it is virtually unmanageable during taxiing on ground.

... Fred's one causes heavy FPS drop inside cockpit ...

... are you using carmaster's new 4096 DLLs ...?

... if not, then you should try them ...  ;)

Berlin was first bombed during WW2 on June 7th 1940 by a single French Aéronavale Farman F.223.4, named « Jules Verne » that took off from Bordeaux-Mérignac base, with addionnal tanks and a total of 18 000 liters of fuel, 8x200kg bombs and last minute 80x10kg incendiary ones ...

The plane first flew along the Channel, then the Baltic sea, then Denmark and arrived above Berlin from the north, to deceit German flak that first mistook it with one of theirs ...

All in all the flight lasted 13h40, and the plane had to land in Orly to refuel, before finally landing at Lanvéoc-Poulmic (Brittany).

3 days later, the same plane bombed Heinkel factories in Rostock.

... so, now we also need the Farman ...!  :P

Many THX to all involved ...!  :-*

I've them in all my installs, but with no avail for the "terrible" Freddie's cockpits.

Please check your PM.

... well, I don't have the fps drop you are complaining about, in my 4.09 game version, so there must be some other reason in your game version to explain that "bug" ...   :-X

I don't think so; it's just the whopping cockpit by Fred, together with my Jurassic rig (pls, watch specs in my sig). It happened to me the same with Fred's Bf 109E-3 cockpit. I too read, time ago, of similar complaints, from another user with a low end PC.

Currently, I'm quite happy with "Dimon's" D.520, which is actually Fred's (or IES) one, but with Gladiator 'pit (nicely adapted, in a "blue France", but with odd instruments) and made pleasantly manageable on ground; a good compromise. Nevertheless, D.520 remains one of my favourites, and I can't refrain from dreaming a "de luxe" version, FPS friendly, even offering the choice of the two different in shape historical casseroles!
