Does anyone remember PhilK? He used to be a master mission builder back in the old days.

I am going to bring the Hell In The Pacific series to BAT and enjoy every minute.

I was about to start working on those! Great. I'll keep up with the Cauldron instead.

They area built with so much details, it's amazing immersion.

Peleliu impressions

off to Iwo at last. With the new available Iwo maps, this is going to be so much better!

I am also working on another long-term project of my own for quiet a while now. (Mexchiwa is a little bit responsible for the idea).

Would anyone be interested in a  25-30 mission campaign where you won't drop a single bomb or won't fire a shot at anyone at all? A campaign where you'd grow up from a training camp and will do simply flying around in cool kites (with some fancy objectives of course - there's much more to be done than simple pew-pew! :D )

okay, It might be just the thing for relaxing XMas days :)
But it won't be science fiction, all missions have a real background.

I have built all the missions without waypoints - since "flying" is the essential objective - so no autopilot shortcuts ;)
But I get lost in building bases and ground detail.....

Here's some flying to do....

Ann Baumgartner-Carl's book contains almost all the backstories for the missions. It will be roughly 30, give or take.

there will be trainers of all kind, transports, liaison, fighters and bombers.

The Missions have no waypoints. Navigating and actually flying the thing is what these missions are about, day and night.  8)

There will be a radio stations available and Whistler's Radio Ga-Ga mod just came at the perfect time.

Exciting!

You will probably find of interest the "Mission-Specific Radio and Date-Specific Radio" section in this blog post:

http://www.tolwyn.com/using-custom-radio-stations-in-il2/

You can add a handful of different songs per mission without impacting (much) the main radio folder. Keep a low encoding bitrate and you can pack a few albums without increasing the download size unnecessarily.
