Cool. Was this done by a modder; or was it imported from another game?

I notice that inside the 3do folder in the new version is the folder "Cars" whereas in the original it is "Tanks". The chief.ini entries still reflect "Tanks" as the folder. Inside the "Cars" folder is "AECMk2" inside of which are two new folders - "damage" and "Summer."  What do we do here?

... well, the AECMk2 had a four wheel truck chassis, fitted with a tank 6 pdr gun turret, a kind of hybrid vehicle ...  ;)

What you can do, though, is open the Technics.ini and edit this line:

// Moving
SoundMove      models.Tank  <== replace Tank with Car, to get a truck engine sound instead of a tank one ...  ;)

You're mixing things up!
For vehicles what is important is the data in the technics.ini!

In the chief.ini file you will see sometimes "car" and sometimes "tank"!
That's normal!
It's an armoured vehicle but it's not a tank !
However it behaves sometimes like a tank... it shoots!
But it does not have a caterpillar (tracks ?) ! So, like the Daimler MkII and all the other armoured vehicles (BA,...), it is better to put it in a folder in "cars" !

Anyway!
Delete the previous version and install this new version!

Translated with www.

i have to wonder how stable this thing was, it seems very top heavy i imagine firing the gun to the side would have been a bad idea

... well, originally, the MkI only had a 2 pounder gun (6 pdr for the MkII)
