Thank you, genXgamer   8)

The more sources the better  ;D

Looking for a decent site providing USSR air force (VVS) WW2 orders of battle. Anybody?

If I am looking for REALLY crunchy data for WW2 US aircraft ( by serial number )
I go to this site :

http://www.joebaugher.com/

It goes by production batch , listing the serial numbers of every aircraft produced by US manufacturers ,
and wherever possible lists the unit (US or otherwise ) the aircraft went to and the aircraft's eventual fate.

Great detail for skinners , and for cross referencing the rather loose data used in many
internet articles.

This Swiss site may be looking like 1999 but it's actually a deep-dive accumulation of data.
If you want to know which USN air unit had what aircraft at what date on what carrier and how they were marked? look no further.

This has been an excellent site for me over the years.
I note it has a new GUI which I find confusing , bu the data is great.

This will kill me.

I can't read stuff like these websights.

Every time I see or read something related to WW2 aviation operations I feel the bug to go make the missing.

I saw this thread last night and read one article, then I had to go start making the mission. ]banghead[
