Sorry for the dumb question, but just to be clear, there is no more way to customize the Campaign or Single Player country folder backgrounds correct?  Or is there a way to make that work still?  I have seen some nice mods back in the day for several countries...  I'd be interested in knowing how to do that with BAT if it is at all possible.

I am talking about folders like "\Missions\Single\RU", the original mat and tga background files are there, but they do not work.

make sure the tga is formatted correctly. The country backdrops seem sensitive, the launch screens not so much.
Do not compress them for instance. Otherwise I don't know what else too say that's not written there.

You put the contents of the archive into the batmods folder yourself, and then turn on the mod manager.
Do you want to say, would it be more convenient if the archive was unpacked to the root of the game?
