Epervier/Squashman;
would it make a difference that I don't have the Hornet in the ships.ini? I never added the Hornet, in fact I haven't added anything to my HSFX in the form of aircraft or ships etc since I started using HSFX, the only mods have been what came with HSFX and the Carrier Crew mod and C&C mod.  Also Expert and History mods.

I think perhaps I screwed something up because initially I put the original Carrier Crew mod in the JSGME folder and thought I'd 'activated' it from there not realizing that it was already sitting in the MODS folder and didn't need activating.  I'll try dropping the Yorktown mod into the MODS folder again with the original and see if I get the same result.

EDIT:  Nope, same thing.  If I put the update mod into the MODS folder and start my test mission only 3 of the carriers appear, the rest are gone.  If I go into FMB, Objects, Ships, the Enterprise and Yorktown are listed but I can't select them, the Yorktown "show object" is greyed out and the Enterprise "show object" is a blank window.  Does that give any clues?

Like Epervier suggests, open the mission you describe and immediately send in your logfile

No, that's all fine

De activate all your JSGME mods and see if anything is left in the Mods folder that shouldn't be there.
Also check the root folder for any stray folders (like the 3do folder you mentioned)

Re-download the Yorktown Class deck crew Mod and drop the "! USN YorktownClass Deck Crew"  into the pristine MODS folder.

Squashman;
on a hunch I copied just the Enterprise and Yorktown folders from your mod and dropped them in the Carrier Crew V5 mod in the 3do/ships folder where the others are.
I get the same issue.  Carriers disappear and I'm left with the two Lex and the Sara.  I'm totally guessing here but could it be the hier.him file?  How do I check that?

Not sure how to get the log to appear either.

Did you try deactivating all your JSGME mods and then manually insert Yorktown Crew into MODS folder? If the mod works this would suggest a conflict with another mod.
