Install help?
« on: April 27, 2020, 03:35:18 PM »

Since buying a new external harddrive, i've decided push all my extra data onto that and to try to load BAT for the second time on my main drive. I think the first time it never quite worked as well as it seemed to be for others, so I'm hoping to be a little more diligent with the install this time. I've installed all the basic BAT components(29 parts)but am now unable to fly planes as I get an error. I'm not quite sure how to tweak my conf.ini file either. I'm not sure how to 'paste over' the txt file while maintaining my personal settings. I run win 7 with an a8-7600 3.1, 16GB ram, 4GB, Radeon r9 m360. I'm looking for any help, perhaps from someone familiar with my system, getting the conf.ini as well as what my JGSME recommendation should be. This this be would be greatly appreciated.

It now reads V 12.2M with CUP and module, but when I go to fly a plane I get 'data file corrupt'. Hmmm. I'm thinking late last night i ran a program to convert 13.4 back to 12.x. i'm not sure I wasn't having trouble getting planes to load last night. Wow!

I've now re-downloaded 13.4 (this time applying the direct to drive patch, as it is a steam version)only to now have trouble getting the rollback program to work on it.

Data file corrupt error means you're trying to run a broken mission in the QMB. Press the reset button, then change the map. That will fix the problem.
