TBM-1E, TBM-1D, TBM-3D, TBM-3E and TBM-3L Avengers with ASR ASP-4/6 Radar



Download v.0.64:

Installation, drop the 2 Folders into your WAW3 that's it, add air.ini and all needed Lines.
Next step, have fun.

This Mod was kicked by Kukulo, who came up with the idea of a version with Night Ops abillity based on Tarpon.
Later we got CWatson and Barnesey joining, who helped us out on Assets we missed for completing these ASR Avengers.

Loadouts are in General fashion, with addition of FIDO+Mk34/Homing and Flare for ASW and LVL Bombing duties.

ehm, tried them in BAT 3.8.3. and they work (as expected  ;) ) this birdie flies great and is really performing as it should around the boat, great work from all you guys involved :)
looking forward to a dedicated BAT version then....

Exactly, SAS Avengers Pack, my Tarpon evtl. dunno
but SAS_Avengers seems to work out fine, you miss nothing hopefully

If you have Tarpon running thaan you meet requirements, Tarpon has utmost stuff added, more than this.
Will meet the same, when the 3rd Kite is ready and Loadouts ammended.

Next Update is in the works, will see TBM-1D with AN/ APS-6 radar
that will will require working DreamK WW2 US Ordonance, as I Switched back to his M24 Flare version

Hi Pilots, first of all, I would like to Thank creators and everyone involved/supporting this project. The planes are working flawlessly also in Vp modpack, I only noticed small bug ; Mk13late torpedo extends slightly beyond the hatch of the bombing chamber (applies to both planes), besides everything is fine.

Note, The stock Avenger Model scaling is totally awkward.
If you look at Bombbay, Cockpit and Wings you see the they got hurriedly modelled seperately,
then put into place together. No one can fk up the scaling by remodelling the whole.
The Cockpit in 3DS Max reveals a funny warping like P-40 Cockpit. The Cockpit is lowered and Wings lifted.
Does that makes sense? And I haven't complained about the missing Canopy Rail....
Furthermore load the complete and compare to any decent scaled plan and it is a luck we have
somewhat looking decent Avenger.
I wish myself a Warthunder 3-D Model, that'll look insane compared to this Poly Chrystal.

Can be fixed in the upcoming Update, just lifting the Torp Hook.

Upgrade v.0.2

-Fixed Bombbay Hooks
-added TBM-1D with ASP-6
-added TBM-3E with ASP-6

New. Requirements, please read through and meet requirements, it's incremental.
Delete old Mod, please start as fresh as ever, including Lines etc.

A Note on Flares use, I found Flares are best to throw with Bombbay closed, this way you should be able to do it
seperated. Once Bombbay is toggled, the Flares don't respond. Only when Bombbay is closed.
I tinkered a lot and found this having flares at the external racks the only solution to enable player some
control. In Bombbay stuffed with the rest the Flares I found impractical to use. It wasn't what we wanted to achieve.
We wanted control over Night ops Loadouts to a maximum.

Still trying to crack a nut on getting a native Cockpit, it's at times desperate, but I'll give best to try.
We'll see how it goes.

I'm preparing Screenshots atm. so you can have lookie, lookie...

Thank you for this special version! I have a problem with the bombsight! The viewfinder is blocked. When i press the commands,nothing happens. I'm on B.A.T. 3.8.3. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tobias, Thank you for the update 8). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to run this package in my installation :-X, after more than an hour of trying I left it for tomorrow's investigation.

Never used a Bombsight, though it came without changing any parts of the Cockpit functions I guess.
A working independent Pit is on the Desk, growing me gray hairs... It's a big mess, we have different Pits,
and to my knowledge 2 with Bombardiers, one of them not even working. So I assume it's the standin which
I haven't got working in DBW earlier as well. Dunno if I can fix, if someone knows, I'm happy to investigate.
Please check the other BAT Avengers and tell me which has it working, so I can look up the Files.

@ Piotrek, can you name your Install, that would help tracking down your Prob.
The loadouts are fairly stock, except the PB4Y1 and DreamK Flare, the other stuff is pure BAT.
SAS Avengers, can you run the Tarpon? Just to be safe and see if that changes things.
Outside BAT I can't help, other than say move to BAT, as you don't need requirements at all.

at Batbomb, is on my List, as soon as I have it going, will be added.

Thank you for your answer, unfortunately I miss the PB4Y1, but I'm not sure if this is the source of the problem because after installing Dreamk's weapons and pressing the plane dial button I have immediate CTD, maybe it's my mistake and lack of PB4Y1 weapons, I'm not sure, anyway I have this error in the log:
