This is the first of a serie of campaigns on the eastern front to the Russian Civil War made by Stiv_69 for Il2 1946 4.10.1 that I m converting to bat mod, here you will fly with nieuport 9 and Nieuport 11 in Central Asia, in Iran, against the Ottoman/German Air forces, mainly equipped with Aviatik and Rumpler.
The campaign is rich of details such forts, enemy and friendly positions and so on, and all this work was made by Stiv, to convert it in bat I had to change something like cavalry units, vehicles, and so on but not ever, and change something but the 90% of what you see there is by Stiv_69.
A Russian Civil War campaign for the red side, far eastern socialist republic in Urga in 1921 against the Baron Ungern forces will follow soon. Enjoy.

Ps. Skins are included in the campaign folder. And a huge thanks to Stiv_69 that allowed me to play and mod entirely the eastern front in ww1, largely forgotten in flight simulators. Thank you my friend

The pack that Stiv gived to me is a golden mine over the eastern front, there are several campaigns that I must only translate and convert, and several unfinished campaigns, over historical informations, skins, maps, like that one in Siberia and so on. 😄😃

Yes the majority still to be done, yes but they re in Russian, only this campaign had English briefings but there s no problem, I translate them easily to English. I m converting also the caproni and notti venete campaigns of Giotto. I think bat need desperately bombers campaigns for ww1. I mean multiengine, since usually are or with fighters, or with pushers, or light bombers recce planes.

I've flown some of these campaign but as i don't speak/ read Russian I found them a bit "hit & miss" trying to get them to run......
Many thanks to Nero for the translation/ modernisation

Cheers

Alfie

PS   stiv....I've been following the progress of the Dr II over at aviaskins ....and I'm eagerly waiting it's release  :P

Your skin and template is a work of art

I'm seriously thinking of printing them as a pair, putting them in a frame and hanging them on my wall !

Alfie, I played years ago, and I will play again in future the soviet mod for silent hunter 4, (I m an old subsimmer. Over being a grandson of a ww2 decorated submariner, for that I m a lover of naval history,)  more than a fliggtsimmer. Indeed I ever sad I m not a good virtual pilot, also for that I prefer the bombers to the fighters, I m not hood with acrobacy,) well this mod was done by the Russian sh4 group SOMGRUP and was totally on Russian, I had to translate even the mission orders
Ahahq but it wasn't so hard: a submarine war is more slow than air war, I had all the time to write the Cyrillic orders and radio messages during the patrols off Finnish, Swedish, or German coasts, and to translate word by word it. And since the soviet subs had a patrol system identical to the Italian submarines (they was strictly relative, since Regia marina helped much to rebuilt the soviet submarine fleet after the revolution, even the torpedoes was Italian whitehead built on license in Russia) there was numbered zones on the map where you had to go and remain there, since it was illegal to go out. static ambush, like in ww1, so I had no difficult to understand even without translation, but I did translate them usually. While with the submarines instruments, orders, and so on it was easy, being the same, I learned also several Russian words and navy orders in that way. And there in the Baltic career I learned how to pass the minefields, using that in the pacific theater when Japan after 1943 start to mine the straits. It was a long work. So I understand your difficult with air mission orders. I m translating all the stiv campaigns, and converting them, soon the Urga campaign with the far east soviet Republic will come.

Hi Nero
I notice that you publish the packed files without file name extension .rar or .zip or.... (also in the fisrt air war campaign!)
Please use a valid file name, since a great many people may find this confusing or too much of a difficulty to unpack an "unidentifiable" file type.
