My Future Headaches?
« on: September 20, 2020, 11:34:57 AM »

 ]cheers[

So I'm about half way DL'ing all the add-ons for the base BAT, this is the biggest F'n'A thing I have ever downloaded.  Each part takes me 30-60mins.

Anyway.

I have been building maps in single player HSFX now for a while.

One is the full scale, both waves of attacks on Pearl Harbor that I built off the one the guy posted on M4T, thank God for that guy.

SO...

what head aches am I going to have trying to bring my maps over to BAT?

Thanks-

It is worth the time spent D/L-ing - believe me!  :P

Adding maps to BAT is quite straightforward. BAT is worth taking the time to d/l. A one stop shop for missions from 1914 to 2020.

cheers

Welcome to BAT!

Are you actually making maps-"maps"... like new regions?
Or do you mean  "mission templates" as in: populated existing maps?

Your post reads both ways but I somehow assume you mean the latter?

btw: This post belongs into the BAT Lounge section. I will move it.

Yeah, sorry I guess the correct word would be "missions".

Building maps would be cool too, but complex missions take long enough.  I end up spending more time making missions than actually flying.

I will have an idea for one, and it will take me forever to get everything just right, and then I will have another idea.

By all means, join the fray and build as many missions and templates as you want and please share them :)

This is the reason BAT exists, it's a collective base for mission building so everyone can play and be sure they have everything they need in a working environment :)
I am looking forward to your work.

Where would you upload them at?  M4T?

Anyway, my post about "future headaches" was basically about when I try to use my missions on BAT.  I assume there will be  a lot of objects and things that would have to be rebuilt since I did them in HSFX.

You can upload at mediafire (free) and then post it here like many do.

Hey, the Pearl Harbor content from M4T you've mentioned might be my template from way back - if so, I'm glad I could help, but I need to warn you that at the time I was making it a lot of stuff was unavailable, so all the battleships and many planes (the Vibr... Vindicators for instance) are wrong. But anyway, if you have made the missions, I'd be very grateful to be able to fly them, if you want to share. Greetings.
