Maps is something I have planned for the future.  I am going to work on the DOF port next and may start looking into how I can have an easier way to add new templates.

Curious as to the update check feature.  Did it pop up for you when you started it telling you there was a new version out?

Thanks for the response. I had not used the utility for a while before the update appeared here. I didn't know there was an update announcer but I will keep that in mind for the future and watch out for it. Working to include the other BAT modules makes perfect sense, all power to your elbow. Thanks for your continuing efforts on our behalf.

Hey I am delving deeper and deeper into the IL 1946 and found your program. I have a problem. "International Error Creating Directories" could not create directories in IL 2 folder missions. I tried to give permission to these folders but it didn't help. Could you please help me?

I am surprised and is very pleasured to see your work here. I used to fly IL-2 1946 a long time ago with your tools.  Now seeing that you made it to work with BAT, I am joyed by this!

After seeing how you set up the aircraft list, I have a suggestion for you.  Due to steer numbers of aircraft, by adding the certain codes to the list, you could make the list being able to be filtered  by certain nations and the role.  That way, any specific aircraft would be found more quickly and easily.

I am now re-learning how to use your awesome tools for IL-2 1946 BAT. }

Good evening everyone,

I have a question about the Random Rules & Sets.  Since UQMG is made for BAT 4.1.1 (please correct me if I am wrong), it means that creating random rules & Sets may be unstable if running with BAT 4.2, right?  The reason why I ask is because each time I try to load the new rules I made by following the tutorial, the software gave me error and crashed to desktop.

So I thought I would ask.  I am having a lot of fun creating the missions by using UQMG while following tutorials. I am able to create the missions with F4F-3, A6M2-11 and other aircraft.  I am going to try creating mission where I can take off from flying boats.

Hi All.
I followed the instructions outlined on the first page, and tried to install the first 'core module' of UQMG. I followed the instructions to the point of 'unzipping fb100.exe, run it, because that will install the scripts and initialization files.  It may be behind the UQMG dialog, so make sure you run it'.

After I did this, I then tried to run UQMG again, but got this error.



I tried re-installing UQMG, but still had the same error (International Error Creating Directories).
Can anyone advise me what is going on?

Oh wow... it has been a few years since I provided "customer support".  I am trying to remember what the fix for that is.

Did you install UQMG in an Admin account?  Something else that may help is installing UQMG, as well as IL-2 and BAT is directories which are not (obnoxiously) protected in Windows.  So I recommend other drives besides C:\, and certainly do not use the "Program Files" or "Program Files(x86)" directories.  Also it does help to install and run UQMG as well as IL-2 in Admin mode.

If I remember, it may have to do with UNICODE characters, but I am not sure why it was caused during directory creation.  Cracking my head on this one.

Unfortunately, I do only have a C drive on the computer that I use?
Has anyone else on here successfully run UQMG off a C drive?

Otherwise I would have to use a USB drive/external hard disk (but would IL-2 also have to be installed on this drive?)

Do you have any further idea of what the UNICODE error is? Is it related to using the 'C' drive?
Also, is this something that may be more general to the type of program/computer settings (basically, should I ask about this error on a specialist programing/computer help board online?)

To update in relation to my previous post, is there error about creating directories anything to do with the fact that all of the folders in the 'C' drive appear to be 'read only'?

I also note that I did not have to 'point'/or get to the option of pointing' the UQMG folder to the IL-2 folder, meaning that I am not sure if it knows where it is.

My IL-2 folder is in C/IL-2 Sturmovik, but unless that is just a default option, then UQMG may not know where the folder is.

I tried installing UQMG in an external hard drive but I still had the same error around creating directories.
