BF_109E1B
« on: October 28, 2020, 03:35:01 AM »

Good morning Gents from my latitude.
I have downloaded a mission pack and launching the missions i have received  an error message concernig a plane no present on air.ini
BF_109E1B. I have serached the plane's mod with no ressults. It is not inside BF 109 mega pack.
I wonder.. if the author have used this mod on his mission, it should be existed in that time.
Why it is disappiered from il2 sites?

Beste regards

Your game ?
Your pack used ? BAT ? CUP ? 409 ?

These planes (Bf-109) have been modified so much that I am not surprised!
For example in my game I don't have any "B" version nor "trop" version and yet everything works properly.  8)
Bref !

Check if your E1 in your game works with bombs.
If it is the case it will remain you the solution to modify all the missions having "BF_109E1B" by "BF_109E1".

Hallo Epervier,
You are right. I have forgotten to write my sim. It's BAT 4.0.
I have still followed Your indications changing plane model on mission file. All runs as a swiss made watch.
It remains my question about the missing mod. Why it is lost?
Thanks for Your support.

E1B along with the old Trops are old UI remnants.
E1B has been integrated into E-1 Slot respectively.
It was found a bare Fighter E1 Slot and Jabo Slot can be joined into one Slot.
Saving up Files. The same went for Trops, which Filters are activated by Desert Maps.

The first option I understand, the Trop solution is not my favour, but it was a Modders Decision
to pack it up. I did these cutouts for my DBW on the Friedrich Jabo Trops, to enable me Filters
on Russian Summer Maps. Reportedly those were flown by LW and Hungarian AF,
even as far as Finnland these Trops where put to service in Summer on the dusty Fields.
It's a good way to learn Modding, not easy task.

I was never after these Jabo Emils, so can't help.

You need to find UI Unified Installer 1.1 Files. Search the web, there are still plenty online.
I lost all my old Working spaces in a recent HD crash, have no access to these old Files.
Get to know where to find UI and start Modding yourself.
Read out the Slot File Java and rebuild the Plane Folder with .him properly.
I did this with Edit Pad Pro Texteditor.
Sometimes you don't need to fiddle with the Java, depends on the old class.
It was 2012 when I did that, Memory fades.

Best wishes

Knochenlutscher
thanks for fast replay.
I think it could be storically important to realize a huge archive with all the mods created from the beginning of IL2.
This would mean a universal collaboration, a total join  effort on realizing a IL2 universal library.
But it is only a my idea.

Hi Dandolo,

well I only found it historically relevant at Friedrich and Hurricanes Trops.
As evidence poked out my Eyes when Skinning Hurricanes of all Theatres and Friedrichs.
At Hurricanes I couldn't get historically accurate Trops on Murmansk Winter,  or even in CBI, PTO Maps RAF/KNIL Trop Hurries.

At Trop Emils I'm not confident for Evidence. Haven't been that deep in the subject.
I have records about LW Fighter Schools in 1943 and 1944 on Hungarys Territory that had old African Emils in their Inventory, they were hated amongst the personell for being so exoticly painted and hard to camouflage eastern european terrain. The existence of these are sometimes ported over to Hungarian stocks, but the truth is, they were on loan for the time being, never in Hungarian claim, just loaned for Training. And in 1944 they retreated with the Luftwaffe from Transylvania to Austria.
But I haven't came across pictures, showing me evidence outside the African Theatre.

I have released these Hurricanes in a new Style for nitpickers, during my VVS Hurries
reworks.
The Trop Friedrichs I have on hold, if someone wants a Copy, drop me a line.

I think it would make multiple steps backward in what we achieved.
Sorry for bashing Dreams.
If you look up the files I'm speaking about you know about it.
No better 3-D, it uses a 3-D that most Youngsters here would cry for Help over what they see.
You can't compare a UI Emil with our Todays Emil.
I don't wanna move back, and think most of us agree that porting the entire is a
not so positive solution.
Remember 99% of these old stuff is outdated and glitchy, you'll lose precious FMs, Cockpits and other aspects Modders worked hard to revolutionize over the Years.
As said that, porting back Motherclases or other core stuff gets you headaches, rather than the desired atmosphere.

Best wishes
