Madagascar Revisited
« on: June 19, 2010, 04:10:59 PM »

This is Agraciers great map on which I've done a bit of a job. I thought it was pretty enough to deserve some more work!

I was also looking for the opportunity to experiment since I noted with glee that there were free slots in the loadini.

So I've removed the stock roads and replaced them with more realistic-looking drawn-ons and I think it livens up the landscape. Also had some success with curved edge to the forest texture - only works in 'perfect' mode though.

See what you think...I'm interested to see how it looks (if it works..)on another system.

I've made some additional textures and altered existing ones. Tiling effect reduced significantly. Rebuilt all the airfields - now they're all rural-looking rough strips. Left some of them a bit bumpy...heh, heh. Theres a new one on the east coast too.

Moved Diego Suarez to correct location and added the other towns in the area as shown on a WW2 chart of 'Ironclad'.

Messed with map_c and other stuff too.

Many thanks to Agracier for the original of this nice map. And the guys whose textures are in there.

Cheers!
