Hey all,

I have a question for you all, this option was available in CUP and I believe TFM back in the day. There was an option giving you abilities to leave your aircraft and have a little run around or re-create a scramble procedure whilst controlling the pilot out of his seat, I found it to be a nice little touch on CUP and it's a shame it was excluded from BAT's install.

I'm not suggesting it should be bought back just an inquiry as to if it will make a return

No. This mod has long surpassed its full compatibility. We don't give support for it so we do not distribute it with BAT.
You can add it on your own of course.

It was a fun addition but as you said in reason that it's too old confirms my inquiry. Shame really but as you said it's an option I ''could'' add.

It was a great mod! I once got shot down over London in a BoB mission (flying as an RAF pilot). I can't remember if I crash landed or bailed out. But on the way down I realised I wasn't very far from my airfield. So once I was on the ground I "ran" all the way there through the urban jungle, hoping to be able to jump in a new aircraft and get airborne again. But, when I was trying to get into an aircraft a Luftwaffe bomber formation arrived and I spent the next 15 or 20 minutes scrambling around avoiding bomb explosions! It was brilliant!

I understand it works in BAT.

Yes, it does work in BAT ... but then you can't use Next Generation Cam/HUD/Map.

It's either one or the other.

That day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run. So I ran to the end of the road. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd run to the end of the town. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd just run across Greenbow County. And I figured, since I run this far, maybe I'd just run across the great state of Alabama. And that's what I did. I ran clear across Alabama. For no particular reason I just kept on goin'.

Now you wouldn't believe me if I told you, but I could run like the wind blows. From that day on, if I was goin' somewhere, I was runnin'!

Cool mod all the same. Judging by this video , you can go and get back on the plane.
With such success, you can make an emergency landing on the battlefield, and run to the howling base, and or to the enemy base, hijack someone else's plane and fly to your base, it would be fun ..
