LATE 290
« on: November 08, 2020, 06:31:02 PM »

OK here's a small historic skin pack for Dreamk's LATE 290 a few of which were still hanging around at the beginning of WW II flying Coastal patrol missions.  Also included is a generic. All are 1024. Enjoy.

Thanks! One of these plane even seems to have succeeded to sink a German submarine in the very first days of WW2, one of the only 2 submarines sunk in ww2 by a French built plane

I'll check out the properties, and see if it has anything that's likely to sink a sub. Some of the French planes you imported are included in the mission pack, I put on M4T yesterday. I'll add others, as skins become available.

cheers

Subs on the surface of the sea were generally attacked using G2 bombs. They were efficient enough ...if only their fuses functioned correctly, but often a direct hit on the hull of the sub crushed the nose fuse and then the thin bomb envelop did not resist the shock (these bombs were in fact designed to explode besides the hull of the sub) ... French naval fuses were beautifully made but suffered from huge problems (the worse being of course the torpedo fuse)
