Hi may I ask you if it works also to convert campaigns/missions from newer (maybe 4.12 HSFX) to older (maybe 4.10 DBW) installation ?

I tried it with my DBW installation, and I received that message in the report:
"Error
list index out of range"

here is the text in the settings file:
Path to STD folder=C:\IL2A\IL2_DBW_STD+TIG+SHIP+COW8\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#DBW\STD

is there anything I should do or correct ?

I got the same error when I tried Il2CampaignValidator1.0 on VP Modpack files today.

And I got the same error when using "IL2 Campaign Validation Script v0.2" on a DBW 1.71 install many years ago.
This was the reason and how I solved it:

I haven't had time to check if it works in the new version yet.

What is the system requirements for Il2CampaignValidator1.0, does it only work on 64-bit OS?
If I double click on Il2CampaignValidator1.0.exe I get this error:



But if I double clicking on main.py it gives a report (I have Python 3.4.3 installed).

Do you have any suggestions how to find and correct "list index out of range" errors?

Update:

I found this problem in the VP Mod stationary.ini:

;BF_109K4C3        vehicles.planes.Plane$BF_109K4C3              2
;[JetEra_StationaryPlanes]

Removing all lines starting with ;  fixed the error problem.

But in one campaign I got this error in 7th mission:

Reading mission 19390904-0.mis
Error
list index out of range

I can't detect anything strange in that mission though, so suggestions what to look for would be welcome.

The Campaign Validator finds this in default 4.12:
Skin vp_Ju52genericS2.bmp for JU_52_3MG4E not found!

The line in default 4.12 air.ini is:
Ju-52/3mg4e       air.JU_52_3MG4E    2 g01     WINTER

The folder name is: Ju-52_3mg4e

If I test the same campaign file in BAT 4.2 WAW, no error!

In BAT 4.2 WAW the line in air.ini is:
Ju-52_3mg4e       air.JU_52_3MG4E       2 g01      WINTER

Is it possible to modify the script so if the first entry for a plane in air.ini has a slash it gets converted to a _ for the skin folder name?
Like this example: Ju-52/3mg4e => Ju-52_3mg4e

skins are tricky.

What I noticed is, the tool seems case sensitive while the game is not.
If in .mis the skin is called "vp_Ju52genericS2.bmp", but in the Folder is named "VP_Ju52GenericS2.bmp" or something, it will also show as missing, but of course will show OK in the game. I had this happen many times. Easy to check though.

I deleted the false stationary entries. But I don't know which file to open for that text entry, I tried to open the main.py with notepad and there is no such text there?
