While testing up new Hotas/Rudder Sensitivity Settings
Dogfight near Vaenga, 2 nasty Messer chasing my Fireflies 4 Flight.
Picked up both, dogfighting this Gal is very hard.

I often thought that the Firefly was more of an attacker than a fighter... Still she was more of a heavy fighter in my book

I can't recommend a turning Dogfight furball, as this was.
it is very intense and all the time at the edge of the FM.

The last victim I nailed out of luck at the outmost edge of a vertical loop peak,
Thanks to 20mms it got quick, any other caliber would have been nonsense here.
I just hung in the air, there was no speed left,

You're correct, more an Attacker, and heavy fighter.

But this was that I wanted really to know what you can and what not with this kite.
Decision, not my primary choice for dogfighting for sure.

I found out this week, my Rudder has Toe Brakes and T/O is a serious business.

Phillipines Luzon in a P-40E, Mission Makeover, very cool scenery,
sth. to shoot at, plenty Turkeys and a rock came by, found my Master
in a Veteran Zero

Smolensk, a Gubi Training Mission re-visited, nice Mission with long flights.
Yesterday we had a visit from Hungary on the Server, did Smolensk and Tobruk
in a neat fashion. At least I brought back our Guest in a slightly crippled Ju87 Dora from
a visit over a red Airfield, well defended.
Hell what a ride. Luck on our sides we had a joyfull ride home, hehe.

Finally I have managed to tackle my Rudder Settings, now I'm able to do basic Taxi-to-T/O,
some nosers occur, but the frequency of trashing kites is within limits...

mudmowing is a big step forward with that tackled.







Not much flying these days, I'm flattened and recovering on some post-vaccination trips.
Peeps me out the brain...

Yesterdays Tobruk FAC Mission, running out of Targets I chased down a flock of 8 Bostons.
Too much Speed, I poured Marshmallows left and right.
Suddenly Clowns everywhere, on top of that 3 or 4 friendly AI Flights joining the Ring.
Then a noisy Plong and oil streaks across the Windscreen, a Tank on Fire, still chased the last Boston.
Than had to abort, as Clowns feared I'm gonna get roasted. Still had Ammo left.
The caring of our Clowns in time, so I made it back to Via Balbia outside Tobruk.
Engine seized, the burning over, Kite possibly a 50% write off.
