Red Bull AirPower Airshow template
« on: February 12, 2021, 07:02:43 AM »

AirPower is a big, biennial (well... duh) air show, held at Hinterstoisser Air Base in Austria, sponsored by RedBull.
Since it isn't happening in real life for obvious reasons, I made a template some time last year, for my own flying pleasures. Here it is, a populated airfield (roughly placed right) with spectators, a flight line and some other stuff around.

You can take off with whatever plane you desire do do your displays, once the paradrop which is about to take place is finished. I added a couple of skins, such as a RedBull Jetman (and pilots), and a RedBullet Bede Microjet (both of my on doing). Enjoy, if you like.

This is a delightful add-on.  I loved watching the parachute drop.  The crowd seemed to enjoy my Spitfire aerobatic routine.

My landing was not the smoothest though because this scenery really pounds my frame rates.  I think it is all the individual spectator objects.  In airshow sceneries I have seen for other flight sims, bunches of people are grouped into a single scenery object.  That might be more frame rate friendly.

Regardless, it was good fun and I would love to see more airshow settings in this sim.
