REDCORE UPDATES?
« on: April 11, 2021, 06:04:00 AM »

Just installed Redcore bloody amazing!! Just wondered if Redcore will be updated separately in future? I see 4.1.2 update is out but it adds JTW etc to the mix which I dont want.
Or can we manually add WAW items from the 4.1.2 update?
Cheers
Mick

The updates are not specific. It is one branch for all bases.

please note that 4.1.1 goes before 4.1.2. That is stated in the post though.

Ok so if i install 4.1.1 will it only add the WAW content? Is this the same with 4.1.2? I tried 4.1.2 but it installed everything with no obvious opt out?

Same package for everyone. You only get to see WAW content though.

Bit confusing imho, will install 4.1.1 today and see what happens. Will it install the JTW, DOF....stuff tho? If so it would defeat the object of a trimmed down WAW installation? Time will tell :-)

OK I have installed 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 into my REDCORE and have now lost almost 700mb of space on DOF, TGA and JTW?? I dont want these so why isnt there a separate WAW download available?

May I suggest you shift back one gear before you start screaming in my general direction?

BAT is only one branch, not several. Because I chose to do it that way. I am doing this on my spare hobby time, in case you forgot.

v4.1 is a possible opt-out package. The decission is yours to install or not, and therefore forfeit access to DOF, TGA, JTW and save some 20 or so gigs.
There is no further extra catering.

That's it, not complicated at all.

Apologies didnt mean to sound disrespectful vampire_pilot my bad.
But i think youve missed a chance here tbh, its a shame to be able to opt for WAW only but then have unused content added - just my feeling.
And yes you deserve a vast amount of credit for this amazing thing called BAT so once again sorry for any unintended angst the bold type was just incase the post got missed.

no problem :)

And by all means, I may be taking care of it nowadays but Monty deserves more credit for starting it up and developing the structure we are still using today because it has proven its worth!
