prob cause always thought .mat file were just empty and uneditable.

I'm still tweaking things. My emphasis is on a certain degree of subtlety. I don't want or need to see a 'beard' of grass surrounding an airfield from far away. I desire to see a fading into visibility as one gets relatively nearby, with the grass becoming more definitely apparent when within a few hundred meters. But this is controlled mostly by the transparency setting in the .mat files, which anyone can play with to their own taste.

For all and sundry, the 'corrected' surface normals for the Flower_1 mesh and the runway grass texture partial color tweak would be most usable.

Sadly on Windows 10 I dont get the option to open .mat files in Notepad??

Have you tried right-clicking on the file, then selecting "Open with..."? From there you should be able to choose your app of choice--in this case Notepad.

I am going to guess that Stan has installed the Microsoft Outlook email program which in turn has taken over the MAT extension. Try opening Notepad then navigating to the MAT file in question and opening it from within Notepad.

 :D    I think I understand what you suggest ..: open a Notepad file, click on open, look for a .mat file in the Carsmaster folder and ....
click on "open" and "all files"! And ... Bingo! The .mat file opens and is editable! Thanks vonofterdingen!
