How to Lower Lagging?
« on: May 31, 2021, 08:47:35 AM »

I get a frame rate lag after a while of doing things inside the game.  I'm specifically noticing it while I'm making a mission, then jumping out to test something, running it in single mission again, and as I keep doing that it lags more.

I'm just interested if there is something to do to keep that from happening, or resetting it somehow.

I assume its a memory thing and I re-load the game, but I don't know for sure.

Is there a cache file or something I can clear out?

Thanks

That does not sound normal. What happens in the log?

I noticed something similar when I updated BAT.
Do you use Windows 10? If so, you might need to disable Xbox Games Bar, it causes serious FPS drops. After disabling it BAT worked fine.

I opened the box app. the camera, microphone, and background apps are off. Under App, it says 0 Bytes. Is there anything else I need to do? I'd like to get rid of it, as I'm never going to use an box game.

I don't think you can, you can only disable it. It's probably possible to completely remove Game Bar but my PC is too FUBARed to attempt to do so

You should be able get at it by clicking the Windows key, then clicking on the "Settings" sprocket icon in the pop-up Start menu. In the Settings menu, click on the "Gaming" category. The Xbox Game Bar is the only item that comes up in "Gaming" in my 10, and the main enabling/disabling switch is near the top of the page. There are several options below this for enabling various aspects of the Xbox software, but if the Game Bar is completely disabled, these options are all blank, which is to say irrelevant.  8)
