UPDATE, Dec 6, 2021: I've discovered that if a reticle mask is seen in line with the mirror, that part of the mirror in superposition will be invisible. I altered the reticle mask so that this does not occur, and now the full mirror is seen. Download again to enjoy this fix.

Get it here:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/fnx9y1snyybwzp0/%2521-WxTech_Mk_8_gunsight_for_Barnesy_F6F.7z/fileFrom the included readme file:
This mod alters the cockpit hier.him files for Barnesy's F6F update, to properly position WxTech's Mk 8 gun sight , reticle and reticle mask.
As a 'bonus', it includes my variation on the Mk 8 reticle, having a bit of a brightness and color gradient. It's present in all but the F6F-5N folder. If you don't like it, simply delete the files:
Reticle.mat
Reticle.tga
Note: The red night reticle Barnesy has included for the F6F-5N looks to be 120 mils in diameter, as opposed to the Mk 8's outer ring diameter of 100 mils. I don't know if this is based on reality, and so I've not altered its size.
This requires Barnesy's mod, available here:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,66365.0.htmlAnd WxTech's Mk.8 gun sight, available here:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,47100.0.htmlIf you want to evaluate this mod before integrating it into Barnesy's mod, simply ensure this mod's name places it above my Mk 8 sight mod, and in turn above Barnesy's mod in your folder listing. That is, the list should show this ordering (OK to have other mod folders in between):
This mod
My Mk 8 sight mod
Barnesy's mod
In this instance, for application to Barnesy's F6F update, the hier.him files in my own Mk 8 gun sight mod are superseded. Because this little mod provides the cockpit hier.him files for Barnesy's mod. You can simply drag 'n drop these files into their respective folders in Barnesy's mod. I've removed nothing, keeping the original line entries in place.
If all works OK, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to integrate the relevant files directly into Barnesy's mod. This will remove any possibility of later conflicts. Indeed, it would be worthwhile for Barnesy himself update his mod accordingly.
For the 4 version of the F6F cockpit, each of its hier.him sight, reticle and reticle mask entries are altered. The original line entries are preceded with "//" to render them unreadable, and my alternates are identified with "//WxTech" at the end of those line entries. For example, here's affected the F6F-3 content in its hier.him:

I've not actually tested this out, having reasonable confidence that the cockpit coordinate system is not changed from stock. If this works out OK, feel free to distribute as you wish.
