Here are the two effects I use:

prod80_02_Bloom
pd80_02_Bonus_LUT_pack

For my money, the Bloom is the most important, which was the only one I used for a while. It was only after some time that I thought to try another, and I liked the color cast of the LUT I selected.

I'd be leery of using too many effects simultaneously, as there could be a performance hit. In any event, when using two or more, be sure to check the performance mode box (or whatever it's called).

So, when you change to mouseUse=1 in the [rts] section of conf.ini you are not seeing the cursor on screen at all times while in the game? That's odd. I trust you've stopped/restarted the game after making that change, right?
