and as for hier.him files from British warbirds...scour the single engine aircraft mod section here... there is a lot of packs of British birds hers that are integrated in the BAT already but still available as single downloads... there should be hier.him files there...

I downloaded the Spitfire MKIX New 3D/Slots from here : https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,18838.0.html

I then extracted the hier.him files for the Spitfire MKIXC and MKIXE provided in David603's mod, added the pilot section from Ranwer's Spitfire MKIX files and tried to load them in a Quick Mission.  But I couldn't get any of the MKIX versions to work.  They loaded properly in a quick mission but the default pilots were displayed.  Not sure why.  Maybe someone else will have better luck?

actually, I use a somewhat modified hier.him of the F2A from WXTechs new gunsight mod for the F2A...
Ok...!!  'WXTechs new gunsight mod for the F2A'
It's already installed on my system, but I didn't think it(hier.him) would be there.
I'll try it right away... ;D
Thank you...!!

Hi Po_Mak,

Easy fella, don't paint the devil on the wall. We haven't adapted what he released here,
blasphemy, I wish we'd had a spanish inquisition here. I have the matches here.
Joke, the workload is intense, freakingly intense. This will keep each and every one of us buisy for a long time to come.

@Geoffrey
Gorgeous Mate, straight initiative. My big respect you tackled this.

Geoffrey, can you pack the Files into a 7Zip archive please and reupload.
It's better to have one File Download, easier uploading for you and reassembling for us.
So we don't miss files.

Hands off if you dunno how to fix or edit a Mod. Take it or leave it.
As easy as that.
Use our Forum to learn how to, tons of Posts about Hiar.him edits.
No need to explain everything over and over for late comers.
Basicly saying...

3do/Cockpit <<<<<  you can put fancy Lametta and WxTechs optical Mods until you're running out of them!!!
it makes no differences at all...

this is important here:
3do/plane/Hiar.him or every .him, some have multiple Hiar.hims inside, so watch out.

Important!
always use original B.A.T. File dumps as a base for Modding, then you're on the safe side.

You can use Selector Options change Settings and tick at Dump Mode/File Dump enabled, save settings.
Then go to QMB and start a game with the target air.ini Slot/Plane. Do this one after one, the necessary files will be put into your main Game directory, into a Directory called ...YourGameHere/Dump/3DO/Plane

It works best on Wolffighter/stock BAT Pilots and Mods using them.
For Barnesey I Mods I can't recommend, they are having a Plane/Pilot build in a Package. Makes no sense.

Quote
For Folks using 3-D Fixes on top of BAT, that's private Modding, make sure you collate the Fix properly,
then apply the Pilot, should work, I see no trouble why it shouldn't, tested these Pilots in some of my experimental Mods, there's no issue if you know how to handle it.

I have a fixed Version in a Beta for Dimon Spitfires and Hurries. Fixes some issues and adds new Slots.
2 weeks...

Installation Notes:
I have the I, II, Vs and IX's ready here, for the use, delete Ranwers previous and my first Fix completeley.
Use the fixed Files from here, they are sort of collated. I had to fix the early Spitfires here, that's why.

Thanks for the tip about the ZIP folder, Tobias!

And thanks so much for your update!  I've tried out a few of the Spitfire MK IX variants and they all work!  Fantastic!

I've uploaded the # RAF PILOTS SELECT folder to a compressed file under https://www.mediafire.com/file/xso3wnawdr4thsc/%2523_PILOTS_RAF_SELECT.zip/file

Thanks for the reupload, much appreciated man...

I know it's David's Mods, but trust me.
If you want to make an effort, use the SAS Selector Dump Mode to
get access to BAT Files. All content has been fixed, clean up for use in BAT.
So original David's and inside BAT's David's might be different.

Best wishes
Tobias

Hi Ranwers,

Thank you, great addition, despite the problems with some of the planes, but I hope we will also see a version for Polish and ML-KNIL pilots someday :P.

I managed to add these pilots to a couple of planes, unfortunately I didn't have a chance to test everything, if anyone needs or would like to test:

The pilot is too low. He sees nothing ahead.

... yep, very true, like the default pilot too ...  :-X

please edit the hier.him like that :

[Pilot1_D0]

Excellent Mick,
Thanks for your continual work on Ranwer's pilot imports.

This one will find it's way into my install.

My small report :

The pilot's height is good, but stick...!!! (this is an important issue for me, who values external views)

So, changed with value of [Pilot1_D0] : Attaching 1 0 0 0 0.984808 -0.17365 0 0.17365 0.984808 -0.02 -1.29 0.12

I think that 'The height of the stick is a little high"
