I've removed the conflicting HEX files from the BAT 4.2.1 installation but am still experiencing the same problem as you are with the ships' wakes.  Not sure why...I also tried removing them from the WxTech Effects V1.5 folder but that didn't solve the issue either.

The only other suggestion I can make is to remove any WxTechEffects folders you have from your BATMODS / #WAW folder, including any remnants of previous versions, and extract the following archive to your #WAW folder

That's the setup I'm currently using and it seems to be working for me.  If that doesn't help you, then all I can recommend is that you go back to V1.4 until a new package has been released.

Perhaps removing one or the other will help?  I'm going to give it a try by removing the BAT 4.2.1 Hex files that clash with the WxTech Effects mod and see what happens.

This BATHEX folder is a new one, not present in B.A.T. 4.0.

I did a spot check on several of these classes, and they were weapon classes for guns. My changes to gun classes include assigning a small value for Power where previously there were instances of zero Power. This ensures that all rounds hitting water will make a splash effect, and a hit effect will be seen upon planes. Also, I tweaked the tracer (simple lines drawn at longer distance) color/opacity values, to better match the 3D tracer appearance.

When ship side waves stretch out like widely spread dragonfly wings, that tells us that my BigShipGeneric classfiles are not being utilized. The old code based the spread angle as a function of the ratio between start and end width. My new code has the sizes as an absolute value, in meters.

With regard to the conflict between the Class files I reported (other than those located in the *WAW/Sounds" folder) and your Effects package, I must apologize, since I'd forgotten that I am also using the BAT Soundmatrix Unlocker, which is where at least some of those doubles came from, since as far as I know they're not part of the default BAT 4.2.1 installation:

Thanks so much for taking the time to investigate these!  Sounds like none of them are likely to be the cause of any issues.

The BATHEX folder you asked about is simply the folder where I've extracted all the Class / Hex files from my BAT SFS archives so I can keep track of them in case there are conflicts.  I noted that in the original installation of BAT 4.2.1 there were quite a few instances of conflicting class files hidden among the SFS archives, so I extracted all of them and merged the resulting unpacked folders together, keeping the most recent class file whenever there were more than one instance of each. 

The "!0_WxTech_Effects.rar" that I uploaded was only meant to help Shardana with the issue he'd reported and should have been sent as a PM.

Have encountered a wierd problem, flying Swordfish Mk1 off a carrier, I can accelerate on deck without a problem, but with full throttle the plane flies backwards! Removing your mod (no other mods) and flight is normal.

Testing so far only the swordfish Mk1 & 2 freeze on the ground or mid air with full throttle, removing only the fullthrottlesmoke mod resolves the issue. So yes a Stringbag thing! I'll test some more to see if there are others.

EDIT: Same thing with the Blackburn B-24 Skua at 95%+ throttle, otherwise fleet air arm seems to be ok.

I gather that when mediafire acts up like this, wait a while and try again...

G'day WxTech

Your intermittent aircraft flames look fantastic BUT is it costing me kills?

Just had a short session flying one of Von's quick missions for the New Georgia map and twice had Zeros in flames only for the flames to go out and them continuing on leaking fuel.

If this is realistic and how it's meant to be then I'll have to change my thinking.
Previously if I saw a Zero in flames I would break off knowing he was done for.
