Hi Guys

I have two pilot combat reports from an encounter with Zeros above Lae early 1942.

Both pilots describe two of the three Zeros as having dark brown and green camouflage.
That's all I have to go off.

Anyone with any info or ideas on how you would like the skins to look please let me know.
The skins are being done regardless of any visual references.

Just musing here... Could it have been possible that these fighters were Tony's? Or would that have been too early? Hayabusas would be an even better possibility, I think; they can be more easily confused for Zeros. And depending on lighting and viewing distance, colors of any contrast in hue could take on illusory aspects.

There's no doubt early war many Zero claims were infact Oscars, however 75 Squadron's defence of Port Moresby has been extensively researched over the years and with great certainty these aircraft were Zeros from the 4th Air Group.

I'm aware in the heat of battle and certain light conditions colours may appear different than what they actually are, but am also of the belief that just because we don't have photographic evidence does not mean it doesn't exist.   Many secrets and details of WW2 are still being uncovered today through declassified documents and newly found records.

For this project I have made the decision to do skins based on pilot descriptions of the Zeros encountered in their combat reports.
So players should strap themselves in and prepare to see Zeros in dark brown and green camoflauge, fawn, amber and even green with irregular red stripes.
