Working on another BoB Campaign
« on: November 02, 2022, 12:56:30 PM »

I have an older computer with GTX 745 card… in working on this campaign, many of the missions have well over 100 planes involved. I get a little FPS stuttering but not much and is still playable. Can the majority of players be able to handle such missions?

In my personal case my pc wants to die from even half of that
I have an Amd radeon hd 5670 card and a 3.6ghz quad core amd cpu with 8 gigs of ram. It also depends on how many ground objects are present but many aircraft can really eat my fps all the way down to one
Unfortunately cause of this, I can't play quite a few campaigns (especially some vietnam ones) cause they are packed with objects and aircraft

I have minimal ground objects inserted. I did have all the airfields populated but had to go back and get rid of all but the one you’re flying out of (Hornchurch).

I like large scale missions too.

I have a big one of Operation Torch.  I used triggers to pepper in different aircraft, for different missions, at different times.  It is a Net map and I have multiple spawn locations set up for the different missions that are triggered when you spawn.

It had a lot.

I did a carrier launch of 76 ferry P-40's flying to a land base.  A landing operation near Port Lyautey, BB Jean Bart strike with SBDs at Casablanca, had to make Casablanca harbor, F4F patrol from the Ranger, ASW with TBF's, and had to make Port Lyautey Airfield since it didn't exist on the map, real numbers of ships in the fleet group areas, Blue patrols and bombers, and Blue airfields with targets.  ]confused2[

All on the same map and I've had and ok time with it, more of a problem when a lot of objects are in the same area.  Have had smoke effects make problems too.

Maybe it would help you to experiment with them.

Oh I’m testing them on my machine as I go, so far for me it’s pretty good. I was just wondering if most players had higher end machines. If mine can handle it… lol
