The gun sounds are apparently included in B.A.T. I'm merely using the same sound files as specified in the weapon classfiles as supplied with the BAT Sound Matrix Unlocker.

Good day peoples,
With the BAT only version installed I lose my gun sounds ..(in BAT4.2.2 + hotfix 4).
With the 4.12 (+BAT) version installed its ok.
I tried BAT only version with the BAT Sound Matrix Unlocker on, and off , there are still no gun sounds..

I use the BAT classes in my 4.0 game. I have no sound mod installed at all, using whatever sounds are included.

Of course, I can use the '4.12' classes just fine as well, which is what I've been doing until just a few days ago when I installed the BSMU gun classes and was surprised to find they worked, with the new and more varied sounds. Again, only the gun classes were required for me to 'unlock' the sounds that my BAT 4.0 game already had squirrelled away inside.

Game sound is an area that I've done nothing else about in B.A.T.

Ok.
I've also got VSM installed.
I'll try disabling it to see if I get sounds using BAT's built in sounds
With and without the Matrix Sound mod.

but i have a question the wxtech gun classes installed with effect is to disable or what ??

I should have made clear to users of my effects pack that the gun classes supplied here supersede those in the GUN classes folder I supply in my effect mod. Consider this an early partial update.  ;) You could replace that older folder's contents with what is here, if you wish.

When I release v1.6 of my effects pack, this material here will be included, which will of course render this current 'interim update' to be itself superseded.

UPDATE Mar 2, 2023 I discovered that I had applied the increase to projectile live time too thoroughly! There are 18 guns of the anti-aircraft type whose projectiles have a timed terminal burst. I discovered this when there were no more of the flurries of small flak bursts at the usual distance from the vessels. And so I have restored the live times for these weapons to their former values.

UPDATE, Mar 5, 2023. Bump to advise of this mod being incorporated into my just-released v1.6 Effects pack. If this tracer mod is installed and you are installing my massive effects mod, delete this mod because it's now superfluous.
