I've noticed in some campaigns that regardless of which rank you start at, you will always be placed as the lead plane, and if you change your position your kills will be attributed to the pilot who was supposed to be in that position rather than yours. Does anyone know how to change/fix this? It's kind of annoying and I prefer to work my way up from the bottom.

Maybe.....start the career at lower rank?

I've never played a DGen campaign where choosing lower rank still gave you squadron commander commands. However if you were highest ranked pilot in that mission it can happen.

What actual campaign is it happenning in?

Don't worry, I was accidentally selecting the highest rank - I was playing a finnish campaign and I don't speak finnish... thanks for your help though, I feel like an idiot
