Where to start the game?

Just installed DGEN and Patch to game.  I assumed that the Dgen.exe file was the new shortcut to start the game, but it doesn't do anything.  il2fb.exe is the only file that actually starts the game.  Is this correct or have I screwed something up in installation?  How do I know if DGEN is working?

The il2fb executable is the correct file to start the game. Dgen.exe is just the program that generates the campaigns.
