For plane crashes only, I've been creating a hybrid effect set using some of my former textures and a couple of Fly!'s textures. Additionally, the texture's of Fly!'s I'm using have had some work done so as to have partial edge transparency, in order to reduce the hard-edged, cut-out aspect. Here are a couple of screenies from the Kamikaze02 track. Note also the several flaming/smoking projectiles flung out from exploding planes (when the fuel tank obliterates them), including on the carrier's deck.

I'm working on getting things ready. I have to incorporate code into classes for 4.12 and later B.A.T., where necessary. Then it'll be the big v1.7 release.
