Hello, I need your help to fix this issue.

I am playing BAT 4.2.2 Hotfix4. After a windows update the game does not load anymore. After running the selector, the splashscreen shows up then close and nothing else whatever the module I choose in the Selector... No new log.txt is generated only the initlog.lst. Any idea about what causes this issue ?

Initlog is wrong! You need to provide log.lst and use the # to insert the log. read how to here https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49972.0.html

Flying H, I know that. I said that the game does not create anymore a new log.txt. It seems that the Java application stops almost immediately after the Il2 selector has launched it.  I replaced the jvm.dll in the bin folder by a backuped version but no luck. Any Idea on how to trace the game startup ? I do not speak about the log.txt file which is generated by the game when it's loading displaying the different % ...

Hello ,

I am playing BAT 4.2.2 Hotfix4. Same Issue, After the splash screen , the application stops and nothing else.
I tried running the cmd.exe as indicated in your Debugger tutorial with the following text: console 2>&1 | tee startuplog.txt
But no luck the created startuplog.txt does not contain anything, it is empty...
I have looked at the Windows Event Reports,

it seems that there is an issue with the jvm.dll... I assume that this is the one located in the "Bin/hotspot" folder.
Any idea how to fix that ? Can you provide a working jvm.dll ?

Can you share your findings with us please?
It's hard to judge if we don't know anything of what happened on your end.
Besides the "startuplog.txt", what was the output in the console.exe window?

You did the trick !  I checked the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) Windows Panel, it was activated for all games . I deactivated it for games, apply the change and restart the PC. Now the Java Platform load fine and the game start again.
I assume that a recent Windows update or Antivirus update had activated DEP for I never did that.

For reference here below the procedure I followed to fix the issue

Move to System Configuration Panel
System
Advanced parameters
Performances
Parameters (Button)
Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
Desactivate DEP for games (It will still apply for Windows)
Apply (Button)
Exit the window
Restart the PC

Checking the game startup
Run cmd.exe in game main folder
Type the command: console 2>&1 | tee startuplog.txt
You should see all the game starting steps 
If OK enjoy your game !
