Not sure if this has been asked before...

Hi, as the title suggests, I'm not sure if anyone has asked this before so I apologise if it has. But if it hasn't, what's the best BAT 4.2.2 HF4 settings for a GTX970 & i5-4670k?

Indeed these questions keep coming back and the answers are always leading towards Mike post in maxed out Nvidia settings in the famous thread "inside the conf.ini" https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,9756.msg185327.html#msg185327

As far as the Nvidia control panel settings are concerned you will find a good number of suggestions if you just google Nvidia GTX970 settings at the end of this pages you will find five pages of relevant post among them the one you need for sure

Nice, thanks for the link! I'll try out what he says.
I asked because my FPS drops in missions like these.

In the stock game (And other mods), the framerate never changes. I think this may be because of the high poly models.

Hi-poly model, hi-res textures, number of objects in maps etc etc It is normal to have lower fps in BAT in particular when you fly over heavily object populated maps with many planes and explosions

So it's not my hardware? Plus, this never happened before, not with BAT at least. Btw is it normal if the lag happens with more than one stock mission in BAT?

Hi, Froge.
I have GTX 1060 3GB with i7-7700.
In my recent mission-making experiments (BAT 4.2) I struggled with FPS drops on the "Modern Donbass" map, especially during the AI aircraft spawns. But almost no trouble on the "Kuril Islands and Atu" map even when nukes are dropped and 20-30 ships emit smoke.
The number of aircraft and added objects are about the same on both maps. (Most of the aircraft types are different).
So, yes, it's not just your hardware. I assume your configuration should be OK for many if not most BAT missions.
