I have a very odd problem. I have multiple copies of IL2 12.2 heavily modded. Without warning every single one, both on my hard drive and the backups on an external drive have simultaneously refused to load. The loader comes on and flicks off as soon as used. I run Windows 10. Have been through all the normal attempts to cure, checking compatibility, troubleshooter, virus and malware scans with AVG, use of restore point. Nothing works, including trying to install a fresh version from CD. Obviously I can't produce a log file. Any possible solutions very gratefully received.

Indeed, follow the instructions in Mike's post and you will have your versions of Il-2 operational again. The same thing happened to me.

It happened again thanks to Microsoft's interfering automatic updates, and your instructions worked perfectly to restore everything to normal. Thank you for your expert advice and help.
