Does anyone know why on my other computer the game window does not match the monitor? Also AMD GPU but with driver 19.40.48

Native res. is 1920x1080, and the game is also set to 1920x1080, on the other computer with a 1080p monitor its fine.

Conf.ini window settings:

[window]
width=1920
height=1080
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1 (also tried 0, but no change)
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0 (also tried 1, but no change)
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0
WideScreenFoV=1
UIColor=0
UIDetail=5
UIBackground=rnd
Use3RendersUI=0

This because in your windows 10 system settings you have an increased dpi for your
display (most likely 200%)that  IL-2 is using without adapting and become too big so that you see only a portion of it.  To solve this you have two choices either you set your windows display at 100% by going to settings then system then display. Or rigth click on il2fb.exe then properties, compatibility tab and there go to modify dpi settings and click on the override dpi box so that the scaling is controlled by the application and not by windows.

Yoir right, It was scaled to 125% in Windows 11 settings, when i changed it to 100% the game looked normal.

What is weird (and i suspected it but wasnt at home to confirm) is that my 4K screen is set to 150% scaling, but wen i run the game in 4K 3840x2160 there is no problem...

Looking at the file sizes there empty files
That ain't no download link for your files.
A mega.nz download link would look like this:

The real solution to desktop scaling vs. IL-2 is to set the desktop scaling to whatever you want, and disable it for IL-2 explicitly:

I just deleted the IL-2 folder and copied the back-up i had in its place, i do some more test later this week to see if that solved anything.

Thx for the DPI settings Mike, that will come in handy if i want to run the game on my AMD laptop.

Okay, I see.
Apparently IL-2 doesn't get your screen dimension right.
The TGA output attempted to create a file with 33.972 x 46.260 px.
No wonder it couldn't grab any screenshot, as the slightest attempt to create the required in-memory buffers has to fail.

But only under DirectX, under OpenGL there is no problem with the screenshots. On this card (RX 7900 XTX) the game looks better in DirectX since it wont use hardware shaders with OpenGL.
Whats really strange is that it looks like Tessellation is used on the terrain textures with DirectX, but that cant be right?

That much about...

I got no problem so far with the latest drivers 23.8.1 (Windows 10) on a RX7900XTX with IL-2 FB and Ultrapack.

This is exactly what the driver issues with latest AMD drivers are all about:
AMD messed up OpenGL.
Roll back your driver as stated in 1st post, use OpenGL and you'll be fine.

IL-2 in DirectX mode can not use "Perfect Mode", hence it will always look bad compared to OpenGL mode.
Tessellation is definitely not being used in IL-2.

Like i said before: I am running a RX 7900 XTX, and the RX 7000 cards are not suported by drivers earlier than 22.12.2,
so rolling back the drivers to anything before that is not an option. (tried to test, but drivers dont recognise the GPU)
On top of that i would get performane/graphics isues with the latest games (2023 dead space, the last of us, jedi survivor, etc) i got wich got fixes/performance boosts from some recent drivers.

Game doesnt look that bad in DirectX in 4K (better than OpenGL on this card) but naturaly i rather have OpenGL perfect mode/hardware shaders but for now atleast that doesnt seem an option unless some one comes up with a fix.
