Full Mission Editor keyboard control
« on: September 04, 2023, 03:52:29 PM »

I am having issues with the keyboard number pad under MODACT 6.4.  When using stock settings, I can rotate the object.  Under MODACT, I am unable to rotate any object.  Any ideas?

Update: I just tested the VP mod which of course is 4.12.2 and the results are the same.  The ships that can't be rotated are the moving ships.  Is this suppose to be like this?  Stationary ships can be rotated.

Edit:  I guess this has always been like this?  Just tested steam install of 4.13.4 and the results are the same.  Unable to rotate moving ships?

Never mind :-[ I am thinking too much.  The way point will set the direction.

Well I am not really an expert in FMB but if these are moving ships you can point them the way you want by simply adding a waypoint in the desired direction

I think that moving ships cannot be rotated with the keypad .
I tried it in the FMB of BAT .

When you put a second waypoint , the ship will automatically rotate in direction of this waypoint .

That's right!
It's basic, as indicated in the manual.
Stationary ships/vehicles/tanks/wagons/... can be oriented with the keyboard keys.
Ships/vehicles/convoys vehicles/tanks/convoys tanks cannot. They need a path defined by 2 or more waypoints.
Train convoys must be on valid rails.

And if you really have problems orienting stationary or static objects, check your "conf.ini" :
Code: [Select]

[HotKey builder]
Ctrl D=damage
MouseLeft=objectMove
MouseRight=popupmenu
Enter=freeView
Shift MouseLeft=worldZoom
Alt MouseLeft=select+
Alt MouseRight=select-
Alt Ctrl=unselect
PageDown=change+
PageUp=change-
End=change++
Home=change--
Ctrl MouseLeft=insert+
Insert=insert+
NumPad-0=insert+
F=fill
Ctrl MouseRight=delete+
NumPad.=delete+
Delete=delete+
Backspace=cursor
Tab=cursor
F10=land
F11=onLand
NumPad-=normalLand
NumPad+=toLand
NumPad-5=resetAngles
NumPad-8=resetTangage90
NumPad-7=stepAzimut-5
NumPad-4=stepAzimut-15
NumPad-1=stepAzimut-30
NumPad-9=stepAzimut5
NumPad-6=stepAzimut15
NumPad-3=stepAzimut30

[MouseXYZ]
F1=SpeedSlow
F2=SpeedNormal
F3=SpeedFast
MouseRight=XYmove
F4 MouseRight=Zmove
MouseMiddle=Amove
F5 MouseRight=Amove
F6 MouseRight=Tmove
F7 MouseRight=Kmove
