... but I have had random controls key's go blank and I had to reset them after figuring out what happened.

I think it was happening when I was switching my default sound setting in windows, under playback devices. from speaker to headphones, and back.

If you tab out/minimize the game, to lok at something else, and than go back into the game that can cause control problems also.
