My Radiator function has disappeared in my BAT WAW?

I have the current version of BAT, and use no other mods.

Using the same pilot profile I've always used in WAW...

I have not modified or downloaded anything for BAT recently, at all.

Was doing a QMB mission, and the "R" key that I've always had set to Radiator didn't do anything.

Went into controls...

There was no "Radiator" control to set to a key, but there was one in the HOTAS controls that I could not set to the "R" key?

The Radiator control literally disappeared off the controls list?

I don't have that path you show in my IL2 folder, no profiles folder there at all.


So apparently "cowl armor flaps" is radiator?

But you set it and toggle in flight it says "radiator"?

I've never changed this setting though in the history of my flying, not sure how it changed?

I just tried a different pilot and set to defaults and the R key worked for the radiator, but the R was set for cowl armor flaps.

It's not normal that you can't find a profile folder in your installation
Maybe this explains why the button has disappeared 

Yes, the cowl armor flaps act on the cooling of the radiator:

'IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Profiles\Users' path only applies if you are using the 'Random Skies' mod.

Instead look for: 'IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Users'. You should find your profile(s) in there. It is these that the game actually uses.

Just had this happen again, a key I've had set for a decade in every version of IL2 I've had.

This time my "T" key being set to drop tanks was cleared.

I never mess with controls at all.  The last time I actually opened controls to set or change something was the last time i posted about this.

Its not debilitating, but annoying that this is happening at random.

for what it's worth (and I'm not even sure it is related)....
I was having issues with having to constantly re-enter my joystick button assignments etc.  I'd set things up play a mission then a week later I sit down to play and I find that I had to reset again etc etc.

I'm not sure what made me think about it (probably a post here at SAS) but I adjusted my Windows 'power saving' options (i.e. don't go to sleep or switch off after xx minutes).  I stopped Windows from 'switching off' or 'sleeping' and I haven't had a problem since.

Just throwing it out there.  Hope it helps.

I will try it out, I have used the "sleep" mode recently, where I have not used it much in the past.
