joystick woes
« on: October 09, 2023, 12:09:41 PM »

Hi community,
Now my thrustmaster joystick (joy not being the operative word) is not being recognised in my BAT 4.2.2 + HF 4
I checked it in  my windows 11, and calibration etc et al seemed ok.
Going to INPUT in the game, and it's not showing any parameters.
Did all the DEVICE MANAGER tips,  disable, uninstall/ restart, remove duplicates, tried different usb ports...
I d/l a new THRUSTMASTER driver 2018, but when I look at the driver info, it appears to be the same old MICROSOFT generic driver from 2006.
Apart from using a hammer or out of the window, has anyone got any other ideas?
As always thanks. Martin@Old_Dad

Did you fix this yet?

In the Games "Input" screen, click Refresh and see if that helps.

I just had a problem with my Sidewinder FFB2 not having Force Feedback in game and wen i clicked Refresh i got 2 extra options for ForceFeedback (switched to On by default) and Smart Axis.

....yes, It fixed itself. I d/l  a driver from thrustmaster but pc told me I already had it. Installed it anyway.
... although properties box tells me it's a generic Microsoft driver.
Who knows?? It's working again.
Maybe I'll take a tip from WxTech and build one myself.
Not gonna bother with Warthogs etc.
Thanks for responding.
